We have just started on the new station. We've still got a lot to do, but here's
what we've done so far:
This is where the station will be built. All this has to cleared before we can start
making it.
This picture was taken on the 2nd April 2006. Me and my brother started to clear some
rubble and stuff.
We put a piece of wood on the carriage chassis and loaded the rocks and logs onto it to
transport them to the other end of the garden. We then put them into the boot and took them
to the dump. It took several loads to achieve this!
We bought a set of blades and the middle part for the points, and then made the rest
of them ourselves. It took 2 1/2 solid days to make them.
Close up of the blades - these proved to be pretty tricky to make. Advice for anyone
thinking of making points - buying the parts for the points is not a waste of money -
we had a go at making them ourselves and it didn't go too well... even though we'd
planned them a lot.
We then attached the points to the track. Here's me putting on the fishplates.
There was a gap from where the points start and the rest of the track, so we added
two small pieces of track to fill the gap.

Finished result of the points! Finished on 25th August 2006. Now for the station...
